The company Marketing Department:

The Marketing Assistant will work closely with the Marketing Manager to support the Marketing Manager in her day to day role of running the marketing department.

Role Overview:

The role requires a bright, enthusiastic and extremely organised and enthusiastic individual who is able to completely support the Marketing Manager in her role in and an efficient and professional manner. 
The role will be extremely pressurised at times and will only suit an individual who is able to cope with multi-tasking.  You will at times need to use your initiative and to get on with tasks without prompting.

Seminars:

A major part of the Marketing Assistants role is the organising of 2 monthly seminars.  These are often out of hours i.e. evenings.  This part of the Marketing Assistant’s role requires you to work closely with the Head of Sales.
Your role will include researching and providing company Directors with feedback on the success of seminars. 
You will also manage regular emails to individuals signed up to seminars, plus conducting a Customer Satisfaction survey after each seminar and presenting the results to the Head of Sales, Marketing Director and Marketing Manager.

Data Mining:

A large part of your job will be a variety of “data-mining”/research projects including the collation of White Label performance summaries each month and reporting findings to Marketing Team.

Other:

Other aspects of the role include working closely with the Marketing Manager in the day to day liaison with our Advertising Agencies and Media buyer.
You will be required to oversee supply of adverts to publishers on time for printing, reviewing adverts prior to printing and to learn and adhere to the compliance procedure for all advertising going to print or online. You will be instructed in the outline and implementation of our compliance procedures.
Compliance is a vital part of our work and knowledge of compliance procedures is central to this role.
You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and IT Department in the preparation and execution of e-mailings to our existing database. 
You will work closely with the Marketing Team to build and maintain relationships with existing White Label partners.
Regularly reviewing competitor marketing campaigns.
Responsibility for arranging the printing of corporate stationary (letterheads/business cards/).
Researching industry Award schemes and to put forward Capital Spreads as contenders for these awards.
Maintaining filing systems and organisation of contracts and marketing proofs/artwork.
Updating PR and press clippings.
Working with IT team to run monthly reports for affiliate partners.

This role is extremely varied. There will be a lot to learn in a short amount of time.  The main function of the role is to reduce much of the pressure from the Marketing Manager, to really assist her and to anticipate her needs.  This job is an excellent opportunity to get first hand marketing experience in a wide variety of mediums, in a small but rapidly growing financial services organisation.
