Objective:
From their
London
office located in the City, the company is running its global activities, inclusive of product marketing, product management & development, and global account management.
Keen on quality of products and services, and driven by its development in a competitive environment, the company now requires a new Order Management Business Analyst to work in our Business Line Trading department to accompany the current client growth.
Main duties and responsibilities:
This interesting role within our central Product Management Team will involve business analysis of market requirements, new and existing client business to ensure the viable design of enhancements and new features of the company.
A large proportion of your time will be spent analysingclient requirements, market trends and producing functional specification documents.
This will require close interaction with other teams within the organisation.
The position will also require a certain degree of customer interaction.
To define the roadmap for the current product offerings around order management system and integration with trading tools, position keeping and middle and back office solutions currently supplied by the company.
To work with the development teams around the Group to prioritise features, define component functional boundaries, prioritise feature releases and to guide the validation process for these releases.
You will also have responsibility for performing the initial product acceptance testing, based on the functional requirements raised by you and team members, and providing the test engineers with detailed test case scenarios.
Previous Experience:
A Business Analyst background with experience working within banking, or financial services.
Previous exposure to the equities financial markets is required including different other asset classes, financial trading systems, buy and sell side flows and market data.
Required skills:
Independent and confident, ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own.
Interest in equity and derivative trading, both from a buy side & sell side perspective.
Ability to cope with a challenging environment and changing priorities.
Strong technical awareness with understanding of the software development business.
Ability to analyse, collate and understand sometimes vague requirements and translate these into detailed business and technical requirements.
Strong communicator who is able to obtain requirements from business users and deliver high quality written documentation.
The role will include travel to all the key financial centres to meet with customers and regional development teams.
The position is a senior role, reporting to the head of product management.
