Objective:
Part of the company is located in the City of London, employs 260 people and covers the UK, Ireland, Germany, Russia and South Africa. Keen on quality of products and services, and driven by its development in a competitive environment, the company now requires a Pre Sales Consultant to work in the Sales Team to accompany the current client growth.
Job Description:
The Pre Sales function is a key element of the sales life cycle within the company. The Pre Sales Consultant will support the company Sales team throughout the sales process and into the implementation phase, providing product, business and technical knowledge at both a theoretical and practical level.
The Pre Sales Consultant will work with the sales team to conduct business analysis and help shape the best possible product offering for the potential client. The Pre Sales Consultant will customise and configure the application to the agreed specification in order to deliver tailored product demonstrations as well as working with the sales and production teams in order to coordinate client responses. The position implies willingness to travel abroad and work extended hours as required.
In addition to Pre Sales the job will also involve some Post Sales tasks, mainly oriented around delivering both functional and technical trainings to clients, as well as providing support to clients and staff for functional queries.
Principal Responsibilities:
Analyse requirements and determine a best fit solution from the company product range through discussions.
Provide technical and functional presentations regarding the company offering.
Provide detailed product demonstrations.
Write specifications for product evolutions required by clients in order to close deals and submit these to the company Product Managers and Exchange Project Managers.
Provide content for any functional or technical requirements presented in RFI’s and RFP’s submitted by clients and prospects.
Design required architectures based on client requirements and present these to the client within sales proposals.
Facilitate hand over to Project Managers and Relationship Managers once a contract is signed.
Maintain the company demonstration environment to ensure the latest products are available for demonstration to clients.
Maintain a thorough knowledge and understanding of all current and up coming products and releases, under own initiative and self study. Understand how these products fit within the company suite and how these products meet clients current and future business needs.
Create and maintain detailed records and reports of meetings and activities as presented in the Sales Process Procedural Documentation
Additional Responsibilities:
Provide assistance in delivery of solutions to clients.
Deliver functional and technical training on workstation and server products to clients and to staff.
Provide support to clients and staff for functional queries.
