Job Description
Key Purpose:
To produce, manage and analyse reports generated from the information held in the computer system, in order to assist all departments within the company and other associated companies.
Areas of responsibility:
Extraction and preparation of information from the various systems in place at the company into an acceptable format for use within all areas of business.
Extraction and transmission of information to actuaries and reinsurers.
Detailed analysis of the business written.
Production of monthly statistical and accounting reports with regard to the claims and underwriting information.
Preparation and analysis of claims triangulations.
FSA and DTI Reports.
Running pre-programmed scripts/reports in order to help maintain system integrity.
Ad Hoc or Additional:
Deadlines in reporting may require occasional weekend work.
The above represents the key areas of responsibility within your role.
However you may be required to cover additional duties as and when needed.
Attributes required:
Good note-taking is essential, as is the ability to follow instructions/procedures within specific timetables.
A flexible, proactive approach to work is required, as is the ability to work under pressure and independently at times.
Knowledge of reconciliations would be useful as accuracy is very important in this role.
Skills and Experience required:
Computer literacy and keyboard skills (Essential).
MS Word and Excel (Essential).
Knowledge of SQL (Essential).
SQL 2005 (Highly Desirable) Including:
SQL Server Integration Services.
SQL Server Reporting Services.
SQL Server Analysis Services.
Crystal Reports/Business Objects Experience.
