The Project:

Located in the centre of Ho Chi Minh City, the assignment is a 2 year project comprising two office / residential towers on 8 levels of retail and five basements (154,000 m2, ca. USD 150 Million).

The Role:

Phase 1 – Assisting the Project Manager while project staffs are mobilising:

Enabling works subcontractors, labour suppliers and materials suppliers.
Recruiting staff.
Setting up Contracts / QS department.
Setting up commercial procedures - daily record sheets, CVIs, RFIs.
Attending meetings.

Phase 2 – Project Running:

Management of the QS department.
Writing and responding to contractual correspondence.
Participation in project meetings, advising PM and other section leaders (Technical, Admin, Programming, Plant etc.) on the commercial implications of their actions.
Ensuring that rights to claims / variations are not time barred.

Phase 3 - Project Completion:

Finalising variations.
Pursuing claims as necessary.
