Project:

EPC construction of an ultra low sulphur diesel facility in an existing refinery. The Project will involve the construction of a new facility and the upgrade of existing units.

Role:

Responsible for the management of 7 (already placed) sub-contracts:
Temp facilities. Site preparations. Shutdown (of existing plant equipment). Structure steel. Balance of plant works. Heavy lift. Equipment modifications
The first four subcontracts will be handled by a Subcontractor Engineer, who is already on site, whilst the remaining three sub-contracts, will be handled by the Subcontracts Manager.
The Subcontracts Manager will be responsible for the Subcontractor Engineer and 2 Quantity Surveyors.
The Subcontracts Manager is expected to be ‘hands on’ i.e. undertaking administrative tasks regarding work in progress; being proactively involved in managing the work being carried out by sub-contractors; providing commercial and contractual expertise.

Project Management Team:

The PM team consists of 1 Contracts Manager on site; 1 Project Manager who will occasionally be on site; a further team of expatriates, including safety, projects control, planning and QA/QC will also be on site.

Accommodation:

Onsite accommodation (bachelor type rooms)
Company car will be provided.

Work hours:
10 hours/6 days/week
