Objective:
Part of the the company is located in the City of London, employs 200 people and covers the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, South Africa and the Nordics. Keen on quality of products and services, and driven by its development in a competitive environment, the company now requires a new Developer to accompany the current client growth.
Job Description:
Within our Development team based in our office in London, you will be a developer within the Exchange Traded Derivatives team.
Main Responsibilities:
Development of front-end software connecting to various markets, such as LIFFE, EUREX and CME. The front-end is a multi-asset class trading screen but the primary focus for the team is Futures and Options trading.
Resolution of Fault Reports and Change Requests related to the company software components.
Validation of Functional and Technical specifications
Provision of estimates for work to the Development manager and Business Analyst.
Required Skills:
C/Visual C++ development environments and related support software (Purify, Quantify, etc). Ideally 2 – 3 years full-time development experience.
Experience developing on the Windows operating systems using the Win32 API.
Experience developing a functionally rich front-end.
Multi-threaded programming
Strong functional and technical knowledge of exchange trading systems is preferred but not essential.
Excellent communications (written and verbal)
Attention to detail
Enjoy working as part of a team and developing to challenging deadlines.
