Reporting to:
Divisional Director – Development

Key purpose:
To develop new and existing broker relationships within a defined geographical area, increasing premium income and profitability. 

Areas of Responsibility:
Develop existing brokers accounts ensuring good relationships are maintained
Monitor the growth and performance of existing accounts
Introduce new agencies as appropriate on an on-going basis
Defining class of business within a postal code area to develop
Visit all newly appointed brokers
Visit top 25 brokers within region at least twice a year
Visit top 150 brokers within region at least once a year
Produce visit reports
Produce appropriate ad hoc reports as and when requested
Develop existing delegated authority / schemes and negotiate new facilities on an on going basis
Liase with Agency and assist on an on going basis
Liase with internal staff

AD Hoc or Additional:
Based from home with travel within the designated geographical region of the role.  Travel is a primary function of the job along with regular visits to the Head Office based in London.   A car allowance is provided along with the payment of company based expenses.
The above represents the key areas of responsibility within your role.  However you may be required to cover additional duties as and when needed.

Qualifications
An insurance industry qualification is desirable

Experience
Minimum 3 years relevant experience (desirable)
A working knowledge of the insurance industry (essential)
