Background
The company is a Lloyd’s approved managing agent responsible for the activities of 2 active and 3 run-off syndicates. It is primarily a non-marine syndicate writing an attritional liability account. The syndicate is looking to expand its classes of business for 2008.

Role
The individual will report direct to the active underwriter. To underwrite a broad range of US general liability risks on behalf of the company. The role will involve liaising with brokers, accepting risks within defined guidelines, maintaining contact with clients and ensuring accurate records are maintained. The role will also involve the provision of various management information to the company and the syndicate’s capital providers.

Experience/Knowledge Required
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate several years experience underwriting US Non-Marine, Liability, Marine Liability and US Contracting business preferably in a Lloyd’s environment. Some additional experience with MEL business would be beneficial to assist with a small portfolio.

Salary/Remuneration Package
