Company:
My client is based in the hart of the City and is a well known and highly successful Insurance provider. Due to increased work loads within their account department a vacancy has arisen for an Accounts Receivable Administrator.
Job Objective/Summary:
Responsible for ensuring that all cash is booked accurately and on a timely basis into the cash book and matched against the correct policies. Responsible for matching of premiums to cash to ensure accurate debtor reporting.
Main Responsibilities:
Preparing the detailed journal for the daily LCA cash receipt and uploading into the ledger on a daily basis.
Identifying and preparing the journal for direct premiums as they are received.
Matching of written to reverse premiums on a daily basis.
Matching of LCA cash to signed premiums in Agresso via the cash matching tool and follow up on unmatchable items.
Matching of direct premiums against cash in Agresso.
Prepare month end investment journals including interest accruals.
Perform weekly bank reconciliations for the syndicate bank accounts.
Review of monthly automated syndicate cashflow report for reasonableness.
Overriders – production of invoices and ensuring that fees are not paid through Exchanging and directly.
Work alongside the Accounts Receivable Supervisor to ensure all Syndicate cash tasks are completed on a timely basis.
Be able to provide cover/assist other members of the accounts receivable and payable team where necessary.
Assist accounts manager where necessary.
Competencies – Essential or Desirable:
Technical, including IT – Essential or Desirable
Previous use of Agresso – desirable.
Good working knowledge of Word - essential.
Excel to intermediate level - essential.
Education and Qualifications – Essential or Desirable.
Strong numerical skills - essential.
Experience/Knowledge – Essential or Desirable:
Minimum of 2 years experience in an accounting function – essential.
Working knowledge of Lloyd’s - desirable.
Personal Attributes/Abilities – Essential or Desirable:
Good communication - essential.
