Job Description
Job Summary:
To manage the Marine Administration Department for the Syndicates Marine Underwriter’s, responsible for the efficient & accurate duties performed.
Main Duties:
Responsible for the administration of the Syndicate’s Underwriting systems.
Daily management of your team (4 employees).
Entry of underwriting information onto the in-house risk recording system.
Act as department head to the Marine division & to be the point of contact for the Underwriters, responsible for the UW scores.
Responsible for the accuracy of data entered.
Validation of LPSO/LCO premium and claims.
Production of weekly/monthly reports to Underwriters.
Regression testing of the Syndicates in-house risk recording system.
Participation on projects as and when required/agreed.
Ad hoc tasks when required.
Future - With new appointments in the Risk Administration team being recruited to the company’s Kent office, it is envisaged that over time this role will change as the daily management of the team members will not be required and the role will become more focused on liaison with the Underwriting team and with the risk administrators in Whitstable.
Technical Skills:
Essential
Use of Windows 2000
Understanding of computer spreadsheets, particularly Excel.
Relevant Experience:
Essential
Knowledge of the Lloyd’s Market
Education and Qualifications:
Essential:
GCSE Maths grade B or above
Minimum of 5 other GSCE’s grade C or above
