The company has some ambitious growth plans which include substantial growth in the UK Retail business area. To ensure that we achieve our goals we need to develop and deliver an extensive Broker marketing programme.
In this role you will assist the Broker Marketing Programme Manager in achieving the business objectives of the UK Retail business for the Household professions and commercial products in the broker channel, as well as events insurance in both the direct and broker channel. Working as part of a team you will help deliver the annual marketing plan, and execute successful marketing activity. You will be responsible for taking and interpreting a brief from internal clients and help deliver marketing solutions.

Principle duties and responsibilities:
The execution of the agreed annual marketing programme of activity for Commercial, Personal lines and event products in the broker channel:
Assist in the development of a knowledge base for the Household, Commercial and events products using this to drive PR campaigns and specific marketing initiatives for brokers.
Assist brokers in the execution of their own marketing programmes
Day to day running of the communications of product messages to partner brokers
Assist with the delivery of the marketing aspects of the various e.commerce systems rollout to partner brokers
Work with product teams to identify and deliver value-add marketing collateral to help regional offices communicate product messages to brokers.
 
Execute marketing activity across a range of disciplines including:
Events, Road shows and Competitions.
The company's News (broker newsletter).
Brochures.
Fact sheets.
Direct mail campaigns to customers in conjunction with broker partners.
New Media, Online and Email.
Direct mail.
Advertising.
Liaise with agencies and third party suppliers across a range of disciplines to execute marketing activity.
Establish effective working relationships with internal customers and functions, ensuring effective links and co-ordination of input and approval.
Ensure all communication is on brand.
Monitor and report on activities and their success.
 
Qualifications, Skills, Experience and personal requirements:
Essential :
Degree educated.
A proven track record working in Marketing within financial services, general insurance experience is desirable.
Demonstrable campaign and general marketing capability (predominantly below-the-line) including:
Literature production.
Direct marketing (business to business preferable).
New media (desirable, not essential).
Brand literacy.
Understanding of customer buying cycles, how to leverage motivations/drivers.
Understanding of intermediary channels and how to use marketing within them to reach end customers.
Ability to liaise and build relationships at all levels, particularly with agencies and suppliers.
Excellent negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail.
Strong organizational skills.
Ability to multi-task and prioritise to ensure deadlines are met.
Adaptable and flexible to fast-changing business needs.
Results-driven.
Used to working in a performance driven culture.
 
Preferred:
Completed or enrolled in CIM qualification
Project management (including knowledge of Microsoft Project
Awareness of FSA financial services regulations governing communications with consumers and other regulations (e.g. direct mail, internet, advertising codes) would be an advantage.
Understanding of budget management.
