Job Description
Role Overview:
To support the motor analyst in maintaining operation rating and underwriting system for third party underwriters. Produce Adhoc analyses and report on developments in the marketplace.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of motor product question sets.
- Use a variety of data sources available to generate market and competiveness information
- Support third party underwriters with operational system requirements and testing of changes to the systems requested by them
- Implementation of rate changes and product rules using Author as directed by the pricing team
- The implementation and execution of test scripts to test changes made to the rate engine and any other third party system
- To prioritise work to ensure the department’s Service Standards are achieved
- To ensure compliance with company and other relevant standards/ regulations at all times
The ideal candidate will have:
Some experience of Pricing & Underwriting Systems (i.e. Author, Polaris, I90)
Experience of personal lines insurance analysis an advantage
Experience of development and testing changes to pricing & underwriting systems
Some experience of Excel and data analysis techniques and be generally computer literate
SAS skills with the ability to modify an existing SAS programme (using Core SAS)
Good knowledge of motor insurance products and the motor insurance industry
